The top 25 teams in each city qualify for The Great Urban Race Championships in Las Vegas. Every team had the option to skip 1 of the 12 challenges, but we kept saving our skip one....and ended up doing them all! Over Achievers. If we would have skipped the challenge that involved the Bob Bullock Museum (30 extra minutes out of the way) we would have TOTALLY been in the top TEN!!!! Kinda Frustrating. Too bad we didn't get extra credit for completing them all.
We were in teams of 2...our group of four placed 29th & 30th out of approximately 100 teams....maybe less. That was our first attempt at anything like that and NOW WE KNOW!!! We plan to be fierce competitors next year! All in all, we got some serious exercise, had a great
time with my sister & brother-in-law, and did pretty well as a team.
We did learn that good communication is absolutely necessary.....as in life.
